I'm a professional engineer with a master's degree in materials science and metallurgy, where my research focused on non-linear FEA for residual strain analysis. These days I lead a team at Englobe doing onsite QC and QA concrete testing for clients across the construction industry.
The job is mostly standard CSA plastic and hardened concrete testing, but what keeps me engaged is wanting to understand all of it -- hydration chemistry, deterioration mechanisms, durability, long-term performance. I just like to know how things actually work.
That same tendency is why I build tools. Most of the projects here started as a question I wanted answered, whether that's digging into stock fundamentals, tracking Overwatch stats over time, or automating something tedious at work with Python or Power Automate.
Internally I work across MS Access, Python, Power Apps, FastField, and PowerAutomate to keep our processes running. The projects below are the ones that made it outside of work.
SCORM Virtual Tour
An MVP virtual guided tour built with React Three Fiber. Features points of interest, knowledge quizzes, and a final exam. SCORM compliance enables progress tracking through an LMS.
Overwatch Stats Dashboard
Personal stats tracker for a group of Overwatch players. Polls a self-hosted OverFast API on a schedule, stores snapshots in MongoDB, and surfaces hero history, comp rank trends, role distribution, and session-level breakdowns via a Flask dashboard.
Intrinsic
Stock intrinsic value evaluator. Aggregates financial metrics to produce an overall quality score. Users can search stocks and drill into their financials.
PDF Flow
Multithreaded PDF processing tool using OCR to read, rename, sort, and email standard or scanned reports -- based on configurable templates and extracted content.
Sole Relief
WordPress site for a local mobile foot care business. Managed the full project scope -- domain, DNS, hosting, deployment, and logo recreation.
Laptop Database
Web app for managing laptop inventory. Search by model or serial number to retrieve hardware details and associated parts.
Job Aid PWA
Progressive web app for hosting department-specific job aid PDFs. Built for desktop and mobile with offline support and standalone app functionality.
